For 20 years, Dr. Matthew Horne and our team at The Austin Dentist have provided care that’s personal, reliable and refreshingly stress-free. We’re proud to help Westlake families smile with confidence year after year.
Dr. Horne founded The Austin Dentist in 2005 with one clear priority: to deliver the highest standard of dental care, every single day.
That commitment started early. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Louisiana State University, he received the Navy Health Professions Scholarship and completed an advanced residency in San Diego. He then served as a Navy dentist for four years, where attention to detail and doing things right the first time were essential.
Those values continue to guide his work today.
Dr. Horne believes quality is more than technical skill. It requires time, focus, and a deep respect for the people you serve. He continues to grow through advanced training at the Kois Center, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Ickert Implant Teaching Center, and other respected programs focused on clinical excellence and evidence-based care.
